Lab Results Are In from One Month on the Mary Ruddick Autoimmune Gut Healing Diet!
This ranks as one of the most important Substacks I've ever done. Are you ready for this? I don't think you are. The word on the street is autoimmune is for life. Let's examine some evidence...
Conventional medicine practitioners and many holistic practitioners believe that autoimmune diseases are not reversible.
I have SO much to talk about, and I don’t have time to type into a post, seeing that it’s the month of May (aka May-hem, Maycember, Maymageddon), making me crazy busy with graduation, state track meets, etc.
So I’m going live tomorrow (Thursday, May 22) at 9 am Pacific/noon Eastern to go over all the lab results, instead of writing a post. I’d like to write this all up in a post eventually, but it will not happen until May is over.
Background to catch up those who are new:
I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s in February. My Hashimoto’s was a very extreme version. I’ll briefly review my February labs tomorrow, showing how low my function was.
My online mentor, Mary Ruddick, has an amazing track record of reversing all kinds of autoimmune diseases through diet (and other diseases as well). She uses a diet based off of the GAPS intro diet but more strict.
Nearly everyone with Hashimoto’s is put on thyroid hormone for life, even those working with functional holistic practitioners.
I got my antibodies retested Thursday of last week, along with some other labwork, and be prepared to be blown away by what I will share.
A few minutes before I go live, I will send an email with all the graphs to the labwork, so you can look at it while I’m talking about it and explaining it all. Some of it is somewhat technical, but I will do my best to explain it in language that everyone can understand.
If you’ve never joined a live before, the directions are in this short post.
Here’s a sneak peek of what I’ll cover:
Can autoimmune diseases be reversed? Mainstream medicine says no, holistic practitioners largely don’t consider this possible…let’s see what I’ve done.
How does being on a low-carb diet affect the body’s requirement of thyroid hormone?
Can you fix your low ferritin (storage iron) by eating beef liver for one month?
Which is better, an iron supplement or beef liver?
How high can one get their ketones when doing a simple 18:6 fasting regimen with a ketogenic diet? (This one WILL surprise you!!!)
I hope to see you tomorrow.
Are you new around here? Welcome!
