This is eye opening! I have been doing three 36 (actually, in tracking I've realized it's more like 32-34 hour fasts (oops!), does that make a big difference?) hour fasts a week. For about 10 pounds the scale moved nicely but I've been stuck for a couple of months now. I do have some aches and pains I'd love to leave behind. :). I'm wondering how much benefit this approach would have for me. I'm going to read McBride's Gut and Physiology Syndrome. Any other books or articles you could recommend? Thanks for all the great information you share!
I have a question about the advice to not eat carbs until dinner. What counts as carbs? As I understand it (meaning I could be wrong), dairy has carbs, so wouldn't kefir contain carbs?
I'm wondering if you mean you don't eat refined carbs (bread, pasta, sugar, rice) until dinner?
Excellent stuff, Leslie! I can feel your wonder and delight in this incredible world that God has made radiating through my phone screen.
The more I learn about the human body and the complexity of life the more I am driven to praise Him.

Another great write up Leslie... I've had the blue book on the Gaps for three months, need to make time for reading..
