Hi Leslie, I just found you from IF Srories and watched this episode. The concept of dry fasting is very interesting to me and I may try it. Question, how do you get by without coffee during a dry fast? I'm a half a pot a day girl!
Hi Arie, I don’t handle caffeine well, it makes me jittery, so I only ever drink decaf. If you wanted to try dry fasting, you’d have to taper off of caffeine first, otherwise you’d get bad headaches
Thanks for posting this recording. I missed most of the live version. As always, it's very interesting and full of excellent and helpful information. You recently talked about DMSO. I'm using DMSO on extreme pain from a tooth my dentist says needs a root canal. I've have had miraculous results. I plan to consult with a biological dentist about alternatives. DMSO addresses the pain and makes delaying treatment possible.
Was also looking at Dr Campbell Mcbride's books. I believe that you recommended the blue book. I see there is also a red one, I've had a heart issue in the past. So makes me wonder about the red book or the blue. Any thoughts or input? I'm thinking blue just to get the basic understanding of the GAPS, which would be a healing journey in itself, but not specifically targeted for the heart.
Question, since you touched on salt/electrolyte retention. I’ve heard a lot lately about people putting mineral salt in their water. Does mineral salted water break a clean fast? Or would you want to do that at the time that you break a fast?
